but on the heat shield section that is closer to the front of the vehicle, more kind of in line with the battery.
have I go the right place now?
(and do I ask why it's better to go here rather than in the other two places?)
Thanks again,

You got it champ.
Better in that spot as it stops the cooler filling up with carbon

Okay thanks Kegsy and others.
(as a reminder I have an MN 2.5 MY12)
I've now received my EGR blank courtesy of GLX-R Alex (thanks again!), and now know the preferred place to put it is under the heat shield section near the battery (not the other two sections at top and bottom of engine near the firewall).
I am now ready to install it (Scangauge is on it's way in case of an engine code) and have another clarifying question ...
Do I undo the two nuts and place the blank on top of the existing gasket, then simply do back up? Some people on here have reported splitting the gasket in two and placing blank in between, others to place blank on top with some sort of sealant, and other have reported just slotting in place and tightening up.
I just don't want to stuff it up ...
Thanks in advance,
Ben
