The spline count and indicator cancel be main concern. Clockspring should be same.
If any thing like the old Days, very good chance it will drop on.
I've done this sort of thing twice in past, one was 1982 MB L200 with Turbo Starion wheel, other was 1995 MJ with Magna boss and sports wheel. (I miss the old MJ as was well sorted the day we traded her)
