The reason I ask is that mine rattles & vibrates like crazy. It works fine but when the motor drops in rpm towards idle it makes a hell of a racket. You can hear it in the cabin above the noise of the rattly old diesel.
I took the TB off and when I shake it something inside is loose & hitting against the black plastic cover, but if I close the butterfly just a little the noise is still there (slightly) but it is almost not noticeable.
Anyway I was just wondering if you drill out the rivets and take the plastic cover off does it explode with a million springs & other parts flying all over the place?
I have disassembled a few B Series Ford TB's in my day & they are simple to do, but before I attempt this one I was wondering if anyone here has already done it & knows of anything to be aware of.
Cheers
