Has anyone had issues with fitting spot lights on the standard nudge bar. i.e. 175mm lights cover a large part of the grill?

Thanks. I'm looking at a set of Narva Ultima Blue 175 today. $330 fitted which seems a good deal.

The Narva Ultima isn't a bad light either bseymore, not up there with lightforce but after having a set of Cibie Oscars removed from my car even though I tac-welded the nut on, I'm reluctant to part with a lot of coin for lights...

Yep that's why I think I'll use the Narva maybe they'll stay on the car without being pinched which happens a lot up here!

Bseymore

I have Nite Stalker 170's and have no problem.
The only issue i had was mounting them.
The Holes on the nudge bar are only about 8 or 9mm and the bolts on the lights were 12mm. Also the holes are to close to the bar and you can't fit a socket between bar and the nut.

Have a look at the Roolite - Great and cheap. over 700m range and you can adjust them from pin to spread just by turning the lens in 2.5 seconds. At $250 a pair you cant go wrong. They look good on the nudge bar.

Same issue with X-rays king triton. Hole needs to be further back on the tab or you have to tighten the nut with the two spanner trick.

I have a set of IPF Sport XS (200mm) fitted to the std nudge bar and have no problems with temps so far (although, it is winter). Agree with the others in that the holes are too narrow and too close to the front of the bracket, which makes tightening the nut a pain in the ar$e. I ended up taking out the grill inserts so I could get a decent purchase and swing on the nuts with a spanner. Socket won't fit.

MY IPF's have a locking nut which can only be undone with the correct socket, which I have. Dont now how good it works but they are still attached to my bar so far 8-)

Those nuts are expensive Buzzy. I'm surprised no-one has pinched them yet. Thinking of going the same way myself though. I aslo echo Trytin's thoughts on roolites. Excellent value for money. Not sure how 170's perform though. i went 220's.

fitted my Roolites using a socket on an angle being careful not to scratch the bumper. Not that hard to do but may deter someone from stealing them

Thanks everyone for your responses. I ended up buying the Narva Ultima Blue 175. So how are they? I have done 6000 KLMs this month and the first trip I had no spot lights. Being time poor I had them fitted by the supplier the day before I hit the road for another 3000 KLM trip. My mistake, I wanted them to light up the road, the guy that fitted them thought I wanted to spot koala bears in the highest trees!! Oh well s%&T happens. I have now adjusted them so will test them out on the next trip. Any tips on the best way to align them would be great.
