3 months, 11 days after the accident the new MN is finally here.

The to do list is pretty big. Transplant the removed items from the ML
Cibie Oscar spotties
Dual Battery system
DVD player, speakers,Amp and sub
Carputer
Bash Plates
UHF
Bluetooth
turbo timer
Reverse camera
I'm sure there are other things that I've forgotten.

Plus wait for the following to be developed
Bullbar and winch
rear protection bar
snorkel
canopy
suspension

Only had the car for 1 day and must say pretty impressed. Better unit than the ML that it is replacing. Got a pleasant surprise when I noticed the side airbags. Seems the dealer stuffed up and ordered that option by accident   . Good to get something on the dealer once in a while. ;)
Motor is sensational. Following an old fart doing 95 in a 100 zone. Nothing coming so dropped it back into 4th, put the foot down. Blinker on, checked the mirror to make sure nothing was coming up behind me. Looked forward and nearly run into him. Acceleration is amazing. 130kph easy as before I backed off. Only had 67km on the clock. . Thats the hoon in me coming out

TA Boycee
She is the baby of the fleet. The 996's run two sets of chains as they often work removing slag at 1300deg from the pits. Still red hot. The tyres are worth $30,000 and they are never replced due to old age. The loaders can be running around with their tyres on fire. Several years ago one machine burnt to the ground. When the insurance company come to investigate they said no way. Couple million down the drain

I wish   . You wouldn't think 200mm would make such a big difference. Just goes in the garage, only because I've got it full of sh*t, Hangs out at the local woolies carparks, Doesn't quite look right. Won't be any good in the bush,Don't think I'm a fan of the new Butt.

More than happy with the rest of it though. Haven't stop smiling since i got it. :P :P :P :P :P

Is that a GLX or GL-R? Looks like a mix to me with flares telling me GL-R but the black strips on the leading edges of the tub saying GLX. :?: :?:

It's a GL-R. They have dropped the colour coded leading edge as well as the chrome door handles, mirror and power window switch surrounds. They are all black now to differentiate the GLX-R.

Its amazing how you ignore the little things that you expect. Handles the same as an ML, BAD. Need to ring around and see if anybody does suspension kits yet. Otherwise I will go around to King Tritons place and take some measurements of his ML, if he still has it, to see if they are the same.

I'll take some photo's and throw up something in Off Topic about big toys. The open cut machines dwarf these though

Congratulations on the new truck. Looks a better colour than the last :D

look forward to the continued development of the truck.

Whats the thoughts on a ML tray and a ML ARB bar?

Only reason ARB etc would have to go back to development is because of a longer tray.

Remove longer tray and the ML rear goodies should fit???

Would either have to colour code the flares and thats about it???

Maybe thats too simple, but would love to have it confirmed either way.

Thats my thinking to. I may have to do the confirmation. Hopefully the flares should swap straight over

The ML bar does fit. The ARB boys in Orange have reluctantly done a few now as customers have requested so. A mate of mine owns the shop so have the feed back fist hand. Only thing is there may be a small gap. The ML rear bar likely will work if you lose the soap box off the back

You talking front bar here GLX-R MN. Can you find out if the ARB bar sits under the front end or does the front end travel lower than the bar

The front bar. Its meant to sit flush under the front with a trim. I haven't seen it in flesh but apparently cuts in the same way but will sit proud in places as in a bigger gap. Apparently doesn't look to bad at all. I'll put you in contact with my mate if you are really keen on the idea.

Might wait like you , just wondering as the ironman bar sat out a long way, wonder if the ARB ones sit any tighter to the front end.

I think the ARB may sit closer. That's not always a good thing other than looks as I have found in the past
I'll see if my mate Rob can send us a pic of the latest MN install :)

Fitted up my ML bashplates, that I salvaged from the wreck, tonight. They were bent from my last outing and needed a little rebending on a brake press and a touch up with a grinder. Apart from that they went straight on. Headlight and bonnet protectors are the same as well as the genuine floor mats. Oil filter is different so I have 5 ML filters at home for sale. Want $30 a piece and they include the copper washer. Sold
