My 07 ML Triton with 3.2L has had an attack of the EGR blues... Gunk has blocked the MAP sensor port (along with a fair chunk of the rest of the manifold) and the computer shut the turbo down...
Have had the manifolds off and sent for chemical clean, I am going to do the catch can when I put it back to gether.
Curious about the EGR Blank on a 3.2l... have seen some say to put it on the exhaust manifold before the feed pipe for the cooler.. anybody got proof of having it elsewhere??
Also wondering if the CEL limp modes may be caused by the EGR valve opening and backwards pressurising the egr cooler / pipework i.e loosing pressure in the main manifold... if this were the case, a blank between the EGR valve assembly and the upper manifold would make a lot of sense... effectively isolating the EGR system all together from the inlet manifold...
Keen for others thoughts... dont want to rush into this one.. catch can is a no brainer, but the EGR blank is causing second thoughts...
