Need something to get you rolling?

I've done 15,000kms on the 265/70/17 MT MTZ

Still plenty of wear left, have not got any noiser (unlike some other tyres I've run in the past)

havn't had a problem so far with them, handle very well on road and off road as well. I've rotated them and havn't noticed any abnormal wear. they have "feathered" a bit from the off roading I have done, and one tyre has a block that has cut away but nothing I would complain about after chucking them through a fair bit of rough terrain.

Sucks to be you, glad I bought a 3.2 :o

tell me about it
went down to the bakery for lunch and when i came back some knob had put 5 big dents in the back of the car
NOT HAPPY JAN!!!!!
and i had only had the triton for a week
then the new ARB canopys side glass poped and scrached down the side of the tub on a smooth dirt road
so i know how you feel
a smile is a sign of joy, a hug is a sign of love, a laugh is a sign of happiness and a friend like me...well...that's a sign of good taste.

Mr T, please start a new thread and outline exactly what happened with your canopy. I'm sure all of us with an ARB canopy want to know what happened!

Thanks Buzzy, yeah I have been chatting with Tyrepower in Newcastle, every time I go in or ring up, they ask what I was quoted so I say the price they last quoted me not saying it was from them and they knock $10 off there own quotes, 3 times so far, I have also been sussing out whether to get them to do the suspension install as well, unsure to whether I want to tackle it myself, other choice is TJM.

I am currently at $370 for 17" ATZ 4 ribs, are MTZ's much dearer than ATZ's ? last question Buzzy, do you do much road K's in your truck in a week ?

Stuff all K's a week mate maybe 30 or 40.
Only has 20k on it, its a Feb 07 model.
If we did alot of road driving I wouldnt have got those tyres.
It wasnt Tyrepower either my bad, its Tyre Plus in Cessnock.
Give Jamie Potter a call and tell him you were talking to Ben. (02)49908000

I dont see a problem running these tyres on the road, i do around 200kms a week, and i have seen stuff all wear! Im going to be rotating this weekend, but i might have lost 2mm over the past 10000kms!

Thanks Buzzy, I got some more for you though, are you putting these on the std rims ? Are yours 7" as MT recommend at least 7.5" for the 285's.

I am at a minimum 500+k's a week, I already have 10000ks since in 4 months or so.

Oh that makes me so want to go for 285's next time round :)
One thing that I reckon it would compromise is low range gearing, would like your opinion/comments when you have tried it off road ;)
What is the braking like with the bigger tyres Buzzy does it still pull up good :?: :?:

I'll have to clean up all my dribbles from over the keyboard now
