No, turfed the factory unit (when I upgraded the FM intercooler) with a replacement about 2-2.5 times the capacity / surface area... No driveability concerns to date including some 'Lithgow mud digging' (read making a fool of myself where no one could find me for a day...) with as much grunt as the oil burner would offer for extended periods...!
Heat is the enemy of ANY auto trans IMHO... My lock up RPM hasn't changed at all before / after the change. I don't personally buy into any concerns of pressure drop issues, but I have to say (and have said before) I consider Auto's a bit of a black art and am not a specialist... Ask Snowman, we've discussed at length
I know I give my poor truck 'what for' considering its a 2T diesel and it drives the exactly same as it did at 30K as it does now at 60K +
